COVID-19 ARPIL 2 2020
Today I woke to the following statistics. My sadness continues for all those affected but I continue to see the good and the humor in the world.
Today I woke up to these Tennessee statistics: 2,845 confirmed cases of COVID-19 32 deaths
I woke to the sounds of a jackhammer outside and flew out of bed. I remembered that I had to have my car out of the garage and on the street before they replaced the curbing in our driveway. Whew! I made it before they got to our driveway. I can just imagine what I looked like as I walked back to the house from two doors down where I parked. Morning hair for sure!
When I finally showered and left (I had to run into my office to get something) they were jackhammering our curb. What a way to wake up.

Jim had a conference call so I ended up leaving early. I had to have an appointment to get into my office (to minimize the amount of people that are there at the same time) and I got there very early. I decided to walk the two blocks from and see what Broadway looked like. I was a little shocked. There were a few cars driving on the road but I was the only person walking. It was a little creepy. As I walked along, I remembered all the memories we already have created with friends or, just the two of us. I know these places will be open again but I’m curious to see what the other side of Covid-19 will look like.
For now, I have the memories. Daily, I hear of many of the country music stars that are donating large sums of money to the community and it warms my heart. People really can be good.
I took a walk by myself tonight. Jim had a grotto meeting (via Zoom). I made the decision to shelter in place for the next two weeks so I went to the grocery store and tried to stock up without hoarding. Good thing I like my husband! 🙂
Love to all of you and please stay safe! <3
