Portugal to Spain 2022 -Peniche and Coimbra

Peniche to Coimbra

Heading up the coast, we decided to stop in a small fishing village named Peniche. Peniche is exactly as described - a small seaside municipality. We found the beach first. We walked around and watched the waves come in. There were very few people on the beach. Most that were there were surfing. Then we went up into the small town and had an ice cream looking over the port. Then we drove along the coastal road overlooking the ocean. The rocks were amazing and the views were stunning! We even got to watch the fishing boats go out to sea. We only spent a few hours in the town but it was definitely memorable!

Our next stop was Coimbra. A medieval town housing one of the oldest Universities in the world.

We walked all over the University and then all over the town. The history was amazing and again, the architecture was beautiful.
