Portugal to Spain 2022 - Porto

Porto is wine country. And it is beautiful. We hung out in Porto for a couple of days and enjoyed the hell out of ourselves. We walked across bridges and all over town. I am afraid of heights so this was an accomplishment for me! We had dinner alongside the Douro River and watched all the people. We were winding down our vacation but enjoying every moment of every day.

One of the days we were there, we took a tour out to the Douro Valley, which is true wine country. There were three people on the tour besides us and the driver. We all got to know each other very well and had a great time. The tour lasted all day. We spent time at wineries, driving through valleys of grapes being grown and taking a river cruise. We stopped for lunch at one of the wineries we stopped at and had a delicious lunch.

The views were stunning and the wine was amazing. Jim is a big Port wine drinker so he was in heaven. I am not a big Port wine drinker but I really enjoyed some of them. I'm sure the atmosphere had something to do with it!

We ended the day back in Porto and had a relaxing evening.

The next day we headed back to Lisbon with a short stop in Cascais. Homeward bound. Such a great vacation!
