Girls’ Camping Trip……… Only nature lovers allowed ! This past weekend I spent camping in a fairly remote campground in Southern Missouri with a group of PHENOMENAL women! We slept in tents, cooked over wood campfires and had NO CELL PHONE RECEPTION. The exciting part of this story (at least to me) is that I have never done some of the things I did over the last few days. I have camped for years but have never put up my own tent and never slept in a tent by myself. A couple of the women knew this was a first for me and gave me both moral support and gentle guidance. Thank you to Gail, Alicia and Mary! Another thing I have never done is spent an entire weekend with a group of only women. What a mistake I made by waiting so long. Half the women I knew prior to going. The other half I am lucky enough to know now! We laughed, we walked, we cooked, we played with dogs, we talked about families, we talked about ……………… well, I won’t mention that however, we had a GREAT time. Being in the woods has always touched my soul but this weekend taught me a lot. Friends are so important and the power of girlfriends should never be underestimated.
